OAKLAND, Calif., Apr. 3, 2019 – Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP, the largest law firm in the East Bay representing businesses throughout the Bay Area and state, continues to grow its Trusts and Estates practice with the addition of attorney Jodi Phillips as an associate.
“In addressing clients’ business issues, we often have insights into their personal vulnerabilities, which means we’re well positioned to take on questions of estate planning and wealth transfer from one generation to the next. Jodi’s addition furthers our ability to meet the growing demand in this area,” said Managing Partner Daniel Rapaport.
Phillips assists clients with a variety of estate planning considerations, including family wealth preservation, business succession planning, charitable giving and wills, trusts, powers of attorney and advanced healthcare directives. She is vice chair of the Litigation Committee of the East Bay Trusts and Estate Lawyers bar association and is a co-founder of the East Bay Advisory Panel. In law school, she clerked for Chief Magistrate Judge Maria Elena-James from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Phillips joins the firm from Peter Shelton Law in Berkeley.
Phillips earned her LL.M. (2014) and J.D. (2013) from Golden Gate University School of Law and two B.A.’s, both cum laude, from Arizona State University (2009).
