Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will oversee the marketing department’s strategic initiatives and operations, centered around providing business development support for individual attorneys, practice groups, and firm-wide initiatives.

Reporting to the COO, the Marketing Manager will work closely with our Business Development Committee which provides guidance to our marketing department by evaluating and developing marketing strategies. The Marketing Manager will contribute to that strategic planning, and in turn oversee the marketing team and its vendor resources in order to plan, coordinate and execute those marketing efforts, and to communicate the marketing plans to those involved.

Job duties:

  • Collaborate with the Business Development Committee on marketing strategy and operations
  • Build and maintain marketing programs and operations to support specific business development objectives for attorneys and the different practice groups of the firm
  • Plan, create, and oversee the design, content, and production of all marketing materials
  • Oversee production of graphic/creative collateral, working with stakeholders, internal employees and vendors
  • Oversee media relations and content production, working with stakeholders, internal employees and vendors
  • Write and copyedit content for external and internal distribution, ranging from thought leadership content for practice groups and attorneys to promotional copy for marketing
  • Oversee social media posting and strategic direction

Skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, sales, or related field
  • 3-5 years of previous experience as a marketing manager, product managers, strategist, sales manager or related marketing experience for a legal or professional services firm
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products
  • Solid understanding of effective marketing strategies, materials, and channels
  • Experience preparing and presenting quarterly goals and forecasts for future projects
  • Strong leadership, planning and execution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage and lead marketing team and employees
