Insolvency and Restructuring
Liz has substantial experience in guiding clients through Chapter 11 reorganization, transitioning from public to private ownership, and recapitalization. She has represented both sellers and purchasers in asset sales in and out of the bankruptcy process, and advised clients regarding and defending avoidance actions, objections to claims, matters requiring relief from the automatic stay and contracts and leases impacted by bankruptcy. Liz also has substantial experience in liquidations, both in Chapter 7 bankruptcies as well as outside of bankruptcy.
Workouts and Creditor Rights
In addition to business reorganization and liquidations, Liz is experienced in creditors’ rights matters, secured transactions, and commercial and real property litigation. She assists companies in resolving financial issues outside of bankruptcy, through workouts and assignments for the benefit of creditors. Liz also has substantial experience in state and federal court receiverships, and represents receivers and the parties to those actions.
