Experience

Penn is a member of Wendel Rosen’s bankruptcy practice. He is a nationally recognized attorney who advises and represents debtors, creditors, government agencies, acquirers and other entities affected by insolvent or impaired businesses, specifically in bankruptcy, corporate restructurings and Chapter 11 reorganizations.  

His representations extend across many industries and businesses, including airlines, real estate enterprises, technology based industries, wineries, professional services.Penn has had a number of appointments to high-level judicial and public service committees and advisory positions.  He has also served as a resolution advocate for the Northern District of California Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Program and arbitrator and special master for the Superior Court of California, San Francisco.  Butler is a past lawyer representative for the Northern District of California Judicial Conference and a former member of the Congressman Don Edwards Inn of Court.
