Rick represents a large number of medium-sized business owners, including distributors, manufacturers, suppliers, wholesalers, retailers, franchisees, restaurant owners, and general and specialty contractors. While he assists clients with all manner of general business counseling, some of his specific experience includes:

Representing many dealer groups and franchisee organizations, Rick is counsel to the majority of the franchisees of independently owned retail Big "O" Tire Stores, located throughout the Western United States. He has developed a forte for putting together private placement offerings for restaurant and other business ventures. In addition, Rick represents a number of nonprofit organizations, including franchise groups, time-share and condominium associations, and private schools.
 
Prior to practicing law, Rick was a principal in a kitchen and bath remodeling business in the Bay Area for several years, at which time he met many of the general contractors and specialty contractors, such as plumbing, electrical and others, who now use his legal services.
