Sexual Harassment Prevention for Restaurant Employees
On September 29, employment attorneys David Goldman and Gillian M. Ross presented a harrassment prevention seminar to the Golden Gate Restaurant Association. David and GillianĀ have represented numerous restaurants and restaurateurs in the Bay Area and they each have more than 20 years of experience in employment counseling and litigation.
Knowing how to prevent sexual harassment and discriminatory behavior is critical in today's workplace. Sexual harassment is illegal and reduces employee moral, job productivity, job satisfaction and staff retention. This seminar covered the following topics:
- The legal definitions of harassment
- Personal liability for employees who harass others
- State and federal harassment laws
- Preventing harassment in the restaurant environment
- What to do if you become aware of harassing conduct.
