Yas represents clients in general and complex litigation in state and federal court on a range of matters, including quiet title, wrongful foreclosure, and trade secret disputes, as well as wage and hour class actions.
Her practice emphasizes counseling and representation of contractors, subcontractors, developers and owners in construction contracts and litigation, including construction defect claims, breach of contract and other disputes arising from both private and public works contracts.
In addition, Yas assists developers, REITs and other real estate clients in the development and implementation of effective risk management strategies for their projects. She analyzes, negotiates and prepares specifications, provisions and endorsements for wrap, builders risk, property and general liability (CGL) programs.
Previously, Yas has represented insurance companies in coverage disputes where the underlying matters concerned construction defect and pollution claims.
