Experience
Mike, who has been with the firm since 1967 and served
as the firm's managing partner for most of the 1990s,
maintains a busy real estate practice, emphasizing commercial
development, leasing and financing matters.
Widely recognized for his expertise in real estate law,
Mike co-authored the California Continuing Education
of the Bar (CEB) "classic" Commercial Real
Property Lease Practice in 1976. Since that time,
he has written numerous articles on real property issues
for CEB, as well as several chapters in CEB's Office
Leasing book.
He is a frequent speaker before numerous organizations,
including the CEB, the International Council of Shopping
Centers, the National Retail Tenants Association, the
State Bar of California, and Georgetown University Law
Center. He is a member of the American College of Real
Estate Lawyers (elected in 1988) and active in many
other real estate trade organizations. Mike has been
recognized in Best Lawyers in America each year
since 1986.
